The problem
Community and health mediators are the first point of contact between Roma communities and public institutions, but often work without grounding in the legal framework they are navigating.
Objectives
- Support and strengthen human rights awareness for thirty Roma and Egyptian students
- Compile a tailored module of ten lessons on human rights and community mobilisation
- Develop capacity to engage with human rights institutions and legal aid providers
Results
Thirty students completed the programme, working through a purpose-built ten-lesson module on human rights and community mobilisation.
