Lecturers will support Roma Academy high school students and students benefiting from the SEC and TER-ALB-03 programmes for the academic year 2025–2026 through online teaching in the Rromani Akademia format, divided into:
Romani Language: 15 hours
Identity: 15 hours
History and Culture: 15 hours

Background
The EU Regional Action on Roma Education project (RARE), phase II, builds on the first phase implemented during 2018–2021 by REF.
During the first phase, more than 4,500 Roma children and youth from seven countries participated in educational activities.
The current project continues these results and strengthens inclusion and participation in education.
Objective
To support the graduation of Roma high school students and increase their employability through mentoring, tutoring, internships,
professional training, computer courses, and foreign language skills.
Lecturers will prepare programmes for each module, providing basic knowledge of the Romani language,
Roma history, and Roma identity, starting from Roma tribes in Albania and beyond.
Conditions for Application
Graduate degree or certification from relevant institutions (Scientific or Professional Master)
Experience in teaching the relevant modules
Knowledge of Zoom or Teams platforms
Roma or Egyptian background is an added value

Objective The objectives of the English Language Course include developing the knowledge and skills that enable high school and undergraduate students to use English effectively and confidently, such as: Build a strong foundation in grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure. Improve reading comprehension through exposure to various texts (articles, stories, reports). Develop writing skills for different purposes (essays, emails, reports, applications). Practice speaking through dialogues, presentations, and group discussions. Expand vocabulary relevant to academic, everyday, and professional contexts. Use English in digital environments (email, messaging, online platforms). Use dictionaries, grammar checkers, language learning platforms to support independent learning. Develop the ability to express ideas clearly, argue a point, and engage in critical thinking in English. Depending on the target group, the objectives can be adapted to match their specific needs. These skills are essential for academic success, international opportunities, and professional growth. Conditions for Applications Applicants must be graduates or certified by relevant institutions. At least 3 years of experience in teaching and/or involvement in teaching lectures related to digital skills. Being from the Roma or Egyptian community is considered an added value. 1. Objective of the Service
Provide subject-specific academic support to improve student performance, increase retention, and support successful graduation. Tutors will work with secondary and tertiary students based on identified academic challenges.
Subjects may include:
Secondary students: Mathematics, Albanian Language and Literature, English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, ICT / Computer Science
Tertiary students: Academic Writing, Research Methods, or other relevant courses according to student needs
Tutoring will be delivered online according to students’ needs and availability.
2. Scope of Work
Deliver scheduled online or peer-to-peer tutoring sessions (individual or small group)
Prepare lesson materials aligned with each student’s curriculum
Submit brief progress updates (hourly or monthly, as defined by RVA)
Coordinate regularly with RVA project staff

Objective
The mentoring component aims to address the academic needs of secondary and tertiary students, offering personalized guidance to improve academic performance and encourage professional growth.
Mentors support students in their learning journey, helping them strengthen study skills, navigate academic challenges, and develop personal and professional competencies through consistent interaction and feedback.
Key Responsibilities
Provide academic and motivational support to Roma students in secondary and higher education.
Conduct regular mentoring sessions (online and peer-to-peer) and submit progress updates to the Project Manager.
Prepare and deliver supplementary lessons when academic intervention is needed.
Organize at least one group mentoring session per month in cities with more than four student beneficiaries.
Submit a final report summarizing mentoring activities and results at the end of the engagement period.
Eligibility Criteria
University degree (Scientific or Professional Master’s preferred) in a relevant field.
Minimum three years of experience in teaching or in projects involving Roma and Egyptian communities.
Strong understanding of Albania’s secondary and higher education systems.
Proficiency in using Zoom and other online communication tools.
Belonging to the Roma or Egyptian community will be considered an asset.
