Open Call for Tutors SEC & TER-ALB-03 for 2025-2026

Roma Versitas Albania (RVA), within the framework of the projects:
“Increasing the Performance and Employment of Roma Students in Secondary Schools in Albania – Academic Year 2025–2026 (SEC-ALB-03)”
“Increasing Access and Participation of Roma Students in Tertiary Education and Transition to the Labor Market – Academic Year 2025–2026 (TER-ALB-03)”
funded by the European Commission through DG NEAR, and implemented by REF Romania, REF Serbia, and RVA, invites applications from qualified individual service providers to deliver online and peer-to-peer tutoring services for Roma and Egyptian students at secondary and tertiary levels.
1. Objective of the Service
Provide subject-specific academic support to improve student performance, increase retention, and support successful graduation. Tutors will work with secondary and tertiary students based on identified academic challenges.
Subjects may include:
Secondary students: Mathematics, Albanian Language and Literature, English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, ICT / Computer Science
Tertiary students: Academic Writing, Research Methods, or other relevant courses according to student needs
Tutoring will be delivered online according to students’ needs and availability.
2. Scope of Work
Deliver scheduled online or peer-to-peer tutoring sessions (individual or small group)
Prepare lesson materials aligned with each student’s curriculum
Submit brief progress updates (hourly or monthly, as defined by RVA)
Coordinate regularly with RVA project staff
3. Contract Terms
Service Period: November 2025 – July 2026
Delivery Mode: Online or Peer to Peer
Type of Contract: Individual Service Contract
Payment Terms: Based on actual tutoring hours delivered, following submission of reports
Estimated Monthly Hours: Vary according to student assignment
4. Eligibility Criteria
University degree in relevant subject (Bachelor’s required, Master’s preferred)
Prior experience in teaching, tutoring, or academic support
Familiarity with secondary and/or tertiary education in Albania
Proficiency with online teaching tools (Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, etc.)
Experience with Roma and/or Egyptian students is an advantage
Identification with Roma or Egyptian community is a strong asset
5. Required Application Documents
Updated CV (Albanian or English)
Short bio (max. 200 words) summarizing academic and tutoring experience
List of subjects that can be covered at secondary and tertiary levels
6. Deadline and Submission
Applications accepted on a rolling basis until all positions are filled.
