Open Call: Lecturer for “Rromani Akademia” 2026
In the framework of the implementation of the project Increasing Performance and Employability of Roma Secondary School Students in Albania – Academic Year 2025–2026 (SEC-ALB-03), as well as the project Increasing Access and Participation of Roma Students in Tertiary Education and Transition to Labour Market through Employability – Academic Year 2025–2026 (TER-ALB-03), funded by the European Commission through the Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations and implemented by REF Romania, REF Serbia and in Albania by Roma Versitas Albania,
CALL FOR RROMANI AKADEMIA LECTURERS IS OPEN
Lecturers will support Roma Academy high school students and students benefiting from the SEC and TER-ALB-03 programmes for the academic year 2025–2026 through online teaching in the Rromani Akademia format, divided into:
- Romani Language: 15 hours
- Identity: 15 hours
- History and Culture: 15 hours
Duration: February 2026 – July 2026

Background
The EU Regional Action on Roma Education project (RARE), phase II, builds on the first phase implemented during 2018–2021 by REF. During the first phase, more than 4,500 Roma children and youth from seven countries participated in educational activities. The current project continues these results and strengthens inclusion and participation in education.
Objective
To support the graduation of Roma high school students and increase their employability through mentoring, tutoring, internships, professional training, computer courses, and foreign language skills.
Lecturers will prepare programmes for each module, providing basic knowledge of the Romani language, Roma history, and Roma identity, starting from Roma tribes in Albania and beyond.
Conditions for Application
- Graduate degree or certification from relevant institutions (Scientific or Professional Master)
- Experience in teaching the relevant modules
- Knowledge of Zoom or Teams platforms
- Roma or Egyptian background is an added value

Lektorët do të mbështesin nxënësit e shkollave të mesme dhe studentët përfitues të programeve SEC dhe TER-ALB-03 përmes mësimdhënies online në formatin Rromani Akademia, e ndarë në:

- Identitet: 15 orë
- Histori dhe Kulturë: 15 orë

Sfondi
Projekti RARE, faza II, ndërton mbi rezultatet e fazës së parë (2018–2021), ku mbi 4,500 fëmijë dhe të rinj romë u përfshinë në aktivitete arsimore në shtatë vende.
Objektivi
Të mbështesë diplomimin dhe të rrisë potencialin e punësimit përmes mentorimit, tutorimit, praktikave dhe trajnimeve profesionale.
Lektorët përgatisin programe mësimore për secilin modul, duke ofruar njohuri bazë mbi gjuhën Rome, historinë dhe identitetin Rom.
