who will help through online mentoring high school students as well as students benefiting from the SEC & TER-ALB-01 programmes for the academic year 2023-2024.

Background

The project EU Regional Action for Roma Education: Increased Education Support and Opportunities for Roma Students in the Western Balkans and Turkey (RARE), phase II constitutes a second phase of the already-implemented project during 2018-2021 by REF. During the first phase of the project, the education services provided through the seven project countries (Albania – ALB; Bosnia and Herzegovina – BIH; Kosovo – KOS; Montenegro – MNE; North Macedonia – MAC; Serbia – SER; Turkey – TUR) amounted to involving more than 4500 Roma children and youth (from all educational levels) in education activities. The present project continues the gains and results of the initial project, while, at the same time, creating a well-founded base for children and youth inclusion and participation in education.

Objective

The purpose of mentoring is to address the academic needs of high school students as well as college students by assisting them according to the student’s abilities and needs related to increasing their academic performance. The mentor has become a critical and, in some cases, formalised part of career development and personal development, providing experienced support in the particular field each student is studying. The mentor serves not only as a resource for the student throughout the school year but also as a mechanism through which the student can practice and develop interactive skills. Both assist and provide feedback to the student, following a predetermined structure.

The mentor has specific responsibilities such as:

• maintenance of the secondary and tertiary education systems;
• mentoring each beneficiary by generating online reports and reporting to the project manager;
• if it is necessary for immediate intervention, it generates every day the necessary subjects for supplementary lessons; and
• trying to have a monthly group mentoring session in cities where we have more than four beneficiaries;
• At the end of the mentoring, he or she makes a summary report of his or her commitment as a mentor.

Conditions for application

• To be graduates or certified by relevant institutions in scientific or professional masters;
• Have at least a 3-year experience or involvement in teaching and involvement in various projects related to the Roma and Egyptian communities;
• Have good knowledge of the secondary and higher education systems;
• Have knowledge of the Zoom or Teams platforms, as the mentoring will be conducted online through these platforms;
• Being from the Roma or Egyptian community is an added value to the application.

Projekti Veprimi Rajonal i BE-së për Arsimin e Romëve: Rritja e Mbështetjes Arsimore dhe Mundësive për Studentët Romë në Ballkanin Perëndimor dhe Turqi (RARE), faza II, përbën një fazë të dytë të projektit tashmë të zbatuar gjatë viteve 2018-2021 nga REF.

Gjatë fazës së parë të projektit, shërbimet arsimore të ofruara përmes shtatë vendeve të projektit (Shqipëri – ALB; Bosnje dhe Hercegovinë – BIH; Kosovë – KOS; Mali i Zi – MNE; Maqedonia e Veriut – MAC; Serbia – SER; Turqi – TUR) arritën për përfshirjen e më shumë se 4500 fëmijëve dhe të rinjve romë (nga të gjitha nivelet arsimore) në aktivitetet arsimore. Projekti aktual vazhdon përfitimet dhe rezultatet e projektit fillestar, duke krijuar në të njëjtën kohë një bazë të mirë-bazuar për përfshirjen dhe pjesëmarrjen e fëmijëve dhe të rinjve në arsim.

Objektivi

Qëllimi i mentorimit është të adresojë nevojat akademike të nxënësve të shkollave të mesme si dhe studentëve duke i ndihmuar ata sipas aftësive dhe nevojave të studentit që lidhen me rritjen e performancës akademike të tyre.

Mentori është bërë një pjesë kritike dhe, në disa raste, e formalizuar e zhvillimit të karrierës dhe zhvillimit personal, duke ofruar një mbështetje me përvojë në fushën e caktuar ku çdo student është duke studiuar.

Mentori shërben jo vetëm si burim për nxënësin/studentin gjatë gjithë vitit shkollor, por edhe si një mekanizëm përmes të cilit nxënësi/studenti mund të praktikojë dhe zhvillojë aftësinë ndërvepruese. Të dyja ndihmojnë dhe japin reagime për studentin, duke ndjekur një strukturë të paracaktuar.

Mentori ka përgjegjësi specifike si:

• mirëmbajtja e sistemit të arsimit të mesëm dhe të lartë;
• mentorimi i secilit përfitues duke gjeneruar raporte online e duke raportuar te menaxheri i projektit;
• nëse është e nevojshme për ndërhyrje të menjëhershme, gjeneron çdo ditë lëndët e nevojshme për mësime suplementare;
• përpiqet të ketë çdo muaj një seancë mentorimi në grup në qytetet ku kemi më shumë se katër përfitues.
• Në fund të mentorimeve bën një raport përmbledhës të angazhimit të tij/saj si mentor.

Kushtet për aplikim

• Të jenë të diplomuar ose të certifikuar nga institucione përkatëse në Master Shkencor ose Profesional;
• Të kenë të paktën një eksperiencë/përfshirje prej 3-viteve në mësimdhënie dhe përfshirje në projekte të ndryshme që kanë të bëjnë me komunitetin Rom dhe Egjiptian;
• Të kenë njohuri të mira të sistemit arsimor të mesëm e të lartë;
• Të kenë njohuri të platformave Zoom ose Teams, pasi mentorimi do të kryet online nëpërmjet këtyre platformave;
• Të qenit nga komuniteti Rom ose Egjiptian është një vlerë e shtuar në aplikim.
