Background
The projects are part of the “EU Regional Action on Roma Education: Increasing Educational Support and Opportunities for Roma Students in the Western Balkans and Turkey (RARE) – Phase II,” implemented by the Roma Education Fund (REF).
Building on the achievements of the first phase (2018–2021), which supported over 4,500 Roma children and youth across seven countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Turkey), the current phase continues to promote inclusive education and sustained academic participation among Roma students.
Objective
The mentoring component aims to address the academic needs of secondary and tertiary students, offering personalized guidance to improve academic performance and encourage professional growth.
Mentors support students in their learning journey, helping them strengthen study skills, navigate academic challenges, and develop personal and professional competencies through consistent interaction and feedback.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide academic and motivational support to Roma students in secondary and higher education.
- Conduct regular mentoring sessions (online and peer-to-peer) and submit progress updates to the Project Manager.
- Prepare and deliver supplementary lessons when academic intervention is needed.
- Organize at least one group mentoring session per month in cities with more than four student beneficiaries.
- Submit a final report summarizing mentoring activities and results at the end of the engagement period.
Eligibility Criteria
- University degree (Scientific or Professional Master’s preferred) in a relevant field.
- Minimum three years of experience in teaching or in projects involving Roma and Egyptian communities.
- Strong understanding of Albania’s secondary and higher education systems.
- Proficiency in using Zoom and other online communication tools.
- Belonging to the Roma or Egyptian community will be considered an asset.

Duke u bazuar në arritjet e fazës së parë (2018–2021), e cila mbështeti mbi 4,500 fëmijë dhe të rinj Romë në shtatë vende (Shqipëri, Bosnjë dhe Hercegovinë, Kosovë, Mal i Zi, Maqedoni e Veriut, Serbi dhe Turqi), faza aktuale vazhdon të promovojë arsimin inkluziv dhe pjesëmarrjen akademike të qëndrueshme të nxënësve Romë.
Qëllimi
Komponenti i mentoringut synon të adresojë nevojat akademike të nxënësve të shkollës së mesme dhe të arsimit të lartë, duke ofruar udhëzime të personalizuara për përmirësimin e performancës akademike dhe nxitjen e zhvillimit profesional.
Mentorët mbështesin nxënësit në rrugëtimin e tyre të mësimit, ndihmojnë në forcimin e aftësive të studimit, përballimin e sfidave akademike dhe zhvillimin e kompetencave personale dhe profesionale përmes ndërveprimeve dhe feedback-ut të vazhdueshëm.
Detyrat Kryesore
- Ofroj mbështetje akademike dhe motivuese për nxënësit Romë në shkollën e mesme dhe të arsimit të lartë.
- Mbajtja e sesioneve të rregullta të mentoringut (online dhe peer-to-peer) dhe dorëzimi i raporteve të progresit tek Menaxheri i Projektit.
- Përgatitja dhe ofrimi i mësimeve shtesë kur nevoja akademike kërkon ndërhyrje.
- Organizimi i së paku një sesioni grupor mentoringu në muaj në qytetet me më shumë se katër nxënës përfitues.
- Dorëzimi i një raporti përfundimtar që përmbledh aktivitetet dhe rezultatet e mentoringut në fund të periudhës së angazhimit.
Kriteret e Përshtatshmërisë
- Diplomë universitare (Master Shkencor ose Profesional i preferuar) në fushë relevante.
- Minimum tre vjet eksperiencë në mësimdhënie ose në projekte që përfshijnë komunitetet Rom dhe Egjiptian.
- Njohuri e fortë e sistemeve të arsimit të mesëm dhe të lartë në Shqipëri.
- Aftësi në përdorimin e Zoom dhe mjeteve të tjera të komunikimit online.
- Identifikimi me komunitetin Rom ose Egjiptian konsiderohet një avantazh.
