Project Results / Rezultatet e Projektit
The project aims to bring about the following results or outcomes:
- Support, empower, and strengthen awareness about human rights for thirty (30) Roma and Egyptian students at secondary and tertiary levels who are beneficiaries of other RVA project components.
- Compile a tailored module for the above-mentioned students containing ten (10) lessons on topics including human rights, collective power, and community mobilization.
- Increase students’ awareness and knowledge of their rights, their capacity to access those rights, and their ability to meet institutional duties.
- Strengthen Roma people’s access to justice by developing the legal awareness of marginalized communities regarding their freedoms and lawful interests.
- Develop Roma people’s capacity to reach out and gain support from human rights institutions, including the Commissioner for Protection from Discrimination, the Ombudsman, the Commissioner for the Right to Information and Data Protection, free legal institutions (offline and online), and legal/social service providers.
