OPEN CALLS FOR LECTURER ON DIGITAL SKILLS
that will provide online lecturing on digital skills sessions to support secondary and tertiary students beneficiaries of these projects, during the academic year 2024-2025.

Background
The project “EU Regional Action on Roma Education: Increasing Educational Support and Opportunities for Roma Students in the Western Balkans and Turkey (RARE), Phase II” builds on the achievements of its first phase, implemented by the Roma Education Fund (REF) from 2018 to 2021.
During the first phase, educational services delivered across seven project countries (Albania – ALB, Bosnia and Herzegovina – BIH, Kosovo – KOS, Montenegro – MNE, North Macedonia – MAC, Serbia – SER, and Turkey – TUR) successfully engaged over 4,500 Roma children and youth at all educational levels in various educational activities.
The current phase of the project seeks to sustain and expand upon the benefits and outcomes of the initial phase, while establishing a solid foundation for the continued inclusion and participation of Roma children and young people in education.
Objective
The objectives of the digital skills lectures include developing the knowledge and skills that allow high school and undergraduate students to use technology effectively and creatively, such as:
- Understand the basic operation of operating systems and applications.
- Learn how to use basic programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or their alternatives.
- Create and manage documents, tables and presentations.
- Use online collaboration tools, such as Google Workspace, Teams, or Zoom.
- Understand the importance of cyber security.
- Learn how to protect personal data and use secure passwords.
- Distinguish reliable from dubious sources on the Internet.
- Use search engines to find valuable information.
- Organize and store information effectively.
- To use different tools for communication (email, social networks, collaboration platforms).
- Develop skills to work on creative projects and solve problems through technology.
- Learn how to build a CV and professional profile online (e.g., LinkedIn).
- Develop skills for searching for work and applying for positions digitally.
Depending on the target group, the objectives can be adapted to include their specific needs. These skills are vital in the digital age, both for personal and professional development.
Conditions for applications
- Those interested must be graduates or certified by relevant institutions.
- Have at least 3 years of experience/involvement in teaching and/or involvement in teaching lectures related to digital skills.
- Being from the Roma or Egyptian community is an added value in the application.
