The problem
Human rights education reaches the people already convinced. Reaching the institutions that Roma communities actually encounter — including the police — requires putting them in the same room.
Objectives
- Equip participants with tools to advocate for and teach human rights
- Build a cross-sector cohort of human rights educators
Results
The regional training course ran from 21 April to 24 July 2024 at the Hotel Mondial in Tirana, bringing together 25 participants — youth workers, students, human rights activists and police officers — with the support of the Council of Europe.
