Open Call: Lecturer for “Rromani Akademia” 2025

In the framework of the implementation of the project “Increasing Performance and Employability of Roma Secondary School Students in Albania – Academic Year 2024-2025 (SEC-ALB-02)”, as well as the project “Increasing Access and Participation of Roma Students in Tertiary Education and Transition to Labour Market through Employability – Academic Year 2024-2025 (TER-ALB-02)“, funded by the European Commission through the Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations and is implemented by REF Romania, REF Serbia and in Albania by Roma Versitas Albania,

CALL FOR RROMANI AKADEMIA LECTURERS IS OPEN

who will help the Roma Academy high school students as well as students benefiting from the SEC and TER-ALB-02 programmes for the academic year 2024-2025 in the online teaching of the Roma Academy format, divided into:

• Romani language: 15 hours
• Identity: 15 hours
• History and Culture: 15 hours

Duration: March 2025–July 2025

Background

The project EU Regional Action on Roma Education: Increasing Educational Support and Opportunities for Roma Students in the Western Balkans and Turkey (RARE), phase II, constitutes a second phase of the project already implemented during 2018–2021 by REF.

During the first phase of the project, educational services provided through seven project countries (Albania – ALB; Bosnia and Herzegovina – BIH; Kosovo – KOS; Montenegro – MNE; North Macedonia – MAC; Serbia – SER; Turkey – TUR ) managed to involve more than 4,500 Roma children and youth (from all educational levels) in educational activities. The current project continues the benefits and results of the initial project, while creating a well-founded basis for the inclusion and participation of children and young people in education.
