Researcher / Policy Analyst in Roma and Egyptians Policies in Education and Social Inclusion
Roma Versitas Albania is seeking a researcher or policy analyst to support research under the Inclusive EduJobs initiative, with a focus on Roma and Egyptian communities, education, social inclusion and school dropout.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comparative research on social inclusion policies, minority rights, child protection and poverty reduction in Albania and EU countries
- Use qualitative, quantitative and mixed research methods
- Develop research proposals and methodologies
- Conduct research with Roma and Egyptian parents on barriers to education
- Identify non-financial factors contributing to school dropout
- Develop policy recommendations and strategies to strengthen parental engagement and educational participation
Required Qualifications
- Experience in qualitative and quantitative research, especially in education or social inclusion
- Strong knowledge of Roma and Egyptian communities in Albania
- Experience in data analysis, report writing and policy recommendations
- Experience working with marginalized communities
- Ability to work with public authorities, NGOs and international organizations
- Master’s degree required; PhD is an advantage
Duration
The selected expert will be contracted for approximately two months. The final report, including recommendations and advocacy strategies, is expected by the end of April 2025.
